About the Stars
First Coast Artistic Swimming is a brand new artistic swimming team located in Palm Coast, Flagler County dedicated to developing confident, capable, and inspired athletes. As a USA Artistic Swimming–sanctioned club, we provide structured training, competitive opportunities, and a supportive environment for swimmers of all levels.
The mission of First Coast Synchro Stars is to empower athletes and provide opportunities for personal and competitive growth. We strive to develop well‐rounded swimmers who show discipline, sportsmanship, and confidence both in and out of the water. We are guided by our core values -Teamwork. Grace. Strength. Passion.
What is artistic swimming?
Artistic swimming, formerly known as synchronized swimming, is a water sport that combining swimming, dance, and gymnastics. It involves a wide range of movements and requires full-body coordination, helping athletes develop strength, flexibility, endurance, and unity.
Athletes perform synchronized, choreographed routines to music that include technical elements, transitions, and lifts, all without touching the pool floor or walls. Artistic swimming has several routine categories, including solo, duet, and team events.
Performances are judged based on technicality , artistic impression, and synchronization. Success in artistic swimming is built through teamwork, discipline, dedication, and a passion for the sport.
History of the Stars
First Coast Synchro Stars carries forward the legacy of the long‐established Artistic Swimming program, founded in 2000 and known for its competitive success at the state and national levels. Over the years, the team produced top‐ten national routines, Junior Olympic qualifiers, and medalists across multiple divisions.
In 2026, the Palm Coast branch of the program transitioned to a new identity — First Coast Synchro Stars — reflecting its growth, independence, and commitment to serving the Northeast Florida community. While the name has changed, the dedication to excellence, athlete development, and competitive achievement remains the same.
